Yolanda Bruno, Violin
Carmen Bruno, Cello

In this dynamic concert of music written for violin and cello, sisters Yolanda and Carmen Bruno perform the two most celebrated duos of the genre by Maurice Ravel and Zoltan Kodaly. Centered around these are a selection of the 24 experimental and rebellious duos by Jörg Widmann as well as music by J.S. Bach, Iannis Xenakis and Pēteris Vasks. The program’s folkloric themes often boarder on the mystical, creating both serene and spooky moods.
